If there’s any celebrity that knows how to do effortlessly chic right, it’s Blake Lively. From running around town in jeans and a tee to hitting the red carpet in her sky-high Louboutins, the starlet never ceases to impress us. Case in point, her casual, everyday waves like in this look at the Chanel Jewelry 80th Anniversary of the “Bijoux de Diamant” Collection. It’s a look that would look just as great worn to run errands in as it does worn to a high-profile event.
Of course, that means we’re dying to channel this look! So we spoke with Nikki Lee and Riawna Capri, Co-Owners of the Nine Zero One Salon, who gave us some simple tips on how to achieve this hairstyle. The best part is, it’s fairly easy to replicate, so give it a go!
How To Score Blake’s Style:
Step One: Once hair is washed and clean, use a volumizer spray on damp hair. Try UNITE Boosta Spray ($26.25 at Unitehair.com) for that added oomph. Once finished, dry and straighten hair as you normally would with a blowdryer. Use a round hairbrush for added shine and volume.
Step Two: Next, use a two-inch barrel curling iron to curl hair. The larger barrel helps add volume and creates waves. Be sure to set your hair by pin curling each piece as you go. Let the pins loose when your hair has cooled.
Step Three: After you’ve removed your curls, use a paddle brush to brush out the curls. This helps create the shape and volume needed for a more casual, wavy style like that seen on Lively.
